Flagship projects

ORBIS
The overarching objective of ORBIS project (H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017; MSCA-RISE - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE), Full title: Open Research Biopharmaceutical Internships Support) is to form an international and inter-sectoral academic and industrial network.
 
The action is aimed at improving the preclinical pathway of medicine development concentrating on processes and technologies. The goal is to integrate multidisciplinary research by involving the academia and the industry from the EU (Poland, Ireland, Finland, Germany and the Czech Republic, Slovenia), EU associated countries (Ukraine) and the US.
 
Centre for Innovative Pharmaceutical Technology
The aim of the project is to build and launch a modern research infrastructure that will strengthen the technical facilities of Poznan University of Medical Sciences in its priority research area related to pharmaceutical engineering.
 
The project contributes also to strengthening the European Research Area by increasing the effectiveness of national research systems, international cooperation and competition among researchers through access to and transfer of knowledge.
 
Polish Registry of Congenital Malformations
Since 1997, Poznan University of Medical Sciences is the only state operator of Polish Registry of Congenital Malformations. It is the unique registry in Poland and the largest one in Europe. The registry is managed by academics working at Department of Medical Genetics, PUMS.
 
Polish Registry of Congenital Malformations (PRCM) is is the only recognizable database in Poland and in the world that collects information about newborn children diagnosed with genetic diseases. It is an excellent starting point for obtaining any statistical information, including monitoring of rare diseases.
